Job summary

Headhunters in Durban is seeking a production operator to manufacture resin products in line with batch manufacturing instructions, ensure products meet specifications, and package and label finished goods.

You must hold a Matric qualification and a valid forklift license, commit to health and safety policies, complete accurate job cards recording components, process conditions and yields, deliver according to the schedule, and perform routine maintenance while keeping manufacturing areas clean.

Responsibilities

• Follow health and safety policies in all work activities.
• Perform tasks as directed by senior staff.
• Manufacture resin products per batch manufacturing instructions.
• Ensure products meet specification criteria through quality assessments.
• Package and label manufactured products.
• Complete job cards recording components used, processing conditions, and yields.
• Deliver manufactured products as scheduled.
• Carry out routine maintenance checks for optimal plant performance.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in manufacturing areas.

Requirements:

• Matric qualification.

Responsibilities but not limited to:

• Expected to undertake all work activities in accordance with the company's health and safety policies.
• The employee is expected to perform any task reasonably requested by any senior member of staff.
• Manufacture resin products in accordance with manufacturing guidelines, as set out in batch manufacturing instructions.
• Ensure that manufactured products conform to the specification criteria set out for each product, by performing stipulated quality assessments.
• Package and label manufactured products as required.
• Accurately complete the job card for purposes of administration:
  1. Record all components used in the preparation of product, by batch.
  2. Record process conditions applied during manufacture.
  3. Record final packaged product yields.
• Deliver manufactured products as prescribed by the production schedule.
• Perform routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal plant performance.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping in the manufacturing areas under responsibility.
