Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Reservoir Engineer in Mossel Bay to analyze reservoir performance, forecast production, and optimize field development. The role requires strong modeling skills and experience with Eclipse, CMG, and Petrel RE.

You will work with geoscientists and drilling teams to design development strategies, evaluate economic outcomes, and drive value in a challenging Oil & Gas environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field; Master's preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years in reservoir engineering, preferably in the Oil & Gas sector.
• Proficiency with reservoir simulation software and data/economic modeling.

Responsibilities

• Analyze reservoir performance and forecast production.
• Develop and calibrate reservoir models for development scenarios.
• Recommend optimal well locations, completion strategies, and EOR methods.
• Monitor reservoir performance and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare technical reports, economic evaluations for management.
• Collaborate with drilling and completions teams to align with objectives.
