Job summary

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a Reservations Consultant in Franschhoek to join a leading hospitality group and manage bookings for a Namibian lodge collection. The role requires meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to long-term client relationships.

You will handle emails and calls, record bookings in PMS, apply rates and deposits, maintain guest records, and coordinate with operations to ensure seamless guest experiences across Africa.

Qualifications

• Previous reservations experience within hospitality (essential).
• Strong administrative and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Computer literacy with PMS and reservations systems experience.
• Knowledge of rates, STO contracts, and logistics for remote destinations.
• Ability to work independently and with accuracy under pressure.
• Commitment to long-term career growth within the portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Handle all incoming reservations emails and calls promptly and professionally.
• Accurately record bookings into PMS and external systems (e.g. Booking.com).
• Ensure rates, availability, and special offers are correctly applied.
• Confirm deposits and payments in line with company terms and conditions.
• Maintain accurate guest records and history files.
• Provide detailed knowledge of rooms, suites, activities, and logistics for the lodge collection.
• Liaise with operations teams to ensure smooth guest arrangements.
• Prepare accurate invoices and ensure compulsory charges are included.
• Track reservations for statistical purposes and reporting.
• Support sales and marketing teams with leads and special projects.

Based in Franschhoek, this role will work closely with a Senior Reservations Consultant on a prestigious lodge collection in Namibia. We are looking for a candidate who can commit long-term to this highly valued client relationship.

• Working hours: Monday – Friday, 08h00 – 17h00
