Job summary

Network Engineering seeks a Renewable Energy Business Development Manager to drive growth in Sandton and surrounding regions. You will build relationships with clients, partners, and government agencies, and develop new pipelines across solar, wind, and other renewables.

The role requires a deep understanding of energy technologies, project finance and regulatory landscapes, plus a strong network in the energy sector. A dynamic, strategic thinker will thrive in this fast-growing market.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in business development, sales, or strategy within the renewable energy or power sector.
• Proven track record of successfully closing complex deals and building strategic partnerships.
• Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, project finance, and regulatory landscapes.
• Excellent presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a robust professional network in the energy industry.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in solar, wind, and other renewable energy projects.
• Develop and execute strategic business development plans to achieve company growth targets.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, partners, government agencies, and industry influencers.
• Lead negotiations for project development agreements, power purchase agreements (PPAs), and other commercial contracts.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform business strategies and identify emerging trends in Gauteng.
