Job summary

Dante Personnel Pretoria Silver Lakes is seeking a payroll subject matter expert with extensive Payspace and time-and-attendance system experience. The role requires expert knowledge of payroll taxes, complex processing, and interfaces to other applications.

A strong accounting background and advanced Excel skills are essential for accurate reconciliations and payroll management. Candidates should have labour law knowledge (LRA, BCEA, COIDA, OSHA, POPI) and experience in policy and workflow

Qualifications

• Must have Payspace payroll system experience.
• Must have Unique Time and Attendance system experience.
• Subject matter expert for payroll, payroll system, payroll taxes and complex payroll processing.
• Proven track record in payroll implementation and interfaces to other applications.
• Payroll programming is a plus.
• Budget compilation and controlling experience is essential.
• Tax submission experience.

Job description

Minimum requirements:

• MUST have Payspace payroll system experience and Unique Time and Attendance system experience Subject matter expert for payroll, payroll system, payroll taxes and complex payroll processing Proven track record and experience in payroll implementation and interfaces to other applications - essential
• Payroll programming (Huge advantage)
• Budget Experience: Compilation and controlling of budgets essential
• Tax submission experience
• Accounting background experience
• Very strong sound reconciliation experience. Ability to perform complex reconciliations and journals
• Advanced MS Word and Excel skills
• Payroll management, including management of capturing, reconciling, control processes
• Input into policies and workflow processes (Medical Aid process, garnishee process, etcetera)
• Knowledge of legislation applicable to payroll
• Report writing skills on Payspace essential
• In-depth knowledge of relevant labour laws i.e. LRA, BCEA, COIDA, OSHA, POPI, INCOME TAX ACT, Wage Determination Act as well as Bargaining Council Agreements and Payroll best practices
