Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Remote Wind Energy Site Assessor to join its expanding renewable energy practice. This fully remote role involves evaluating potential locations for wind farm development using meteorological data, topographical surveys, environmental studies, and grid-connection feasibility to determine viability.

The position requires strong analytical capabilities, knowledge of wind resource assessment, and the ability to work autonomously in a remote setting,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Environmental Science or Geography.
Minimum of 3 years in wind resource assessment or site development for renewables.
Proficiency with wind modeling software (Windographer, WAsP) and GIS tools.

Responsibilities

Analyze historical and projected wind data to estimate site energy potential.
Evaluate site suitability considering terrain, access, and infrastructure.
Conduct preliminary environmental and permitting assessments.
Prepare detailed site assessment reports including energy yield estimations and financial viability.
Collaborate remotely with project developers, engineers, and land agents.
