Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Project Engineer to manage and execute construction projects remotely across Gauteng and beyond. You will coordinate with site teams, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Engineering, with 5+ years in construction project engineering or management, and a track record of remote collaboration. ECSA registration is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical preferred).
• Professional registration with ECSA is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project engineering or management.
• Proven ability to manage projects remotely and communicate effectively with on-site personnel.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project planning, and risk management.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of construction projects, from initial planning and design through to execution and close-out.
• Coordinate with site-based teams, providing technical guidance and ensuring adherence to project plans.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively to meet project objectives.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure clear communication and timely problem resolution.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations on active construction sites.
• Review project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports, for accuracy and completeness.
