Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Volunteer Program Manager to lead our organization's volunteer initiatives from a home office. You will recruit, train, manage, and retain volunteers across programs, designing engaging online training and ensuring program goals are met.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership, exceptional communication, and superb organizational skills, with a track record of motivating teams in a virtual setting and a passion for our cause.

Qualifications

• Experience in volunteer management, program coordination or non-profit leadership.
• Proven track record in managing volunteer programs, preferably remote or hybrid.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in volunteer management software and virtual collaboration tools.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and manage volunteer recruitment and retention strategies.
• Oversee the entire volunteer lifecycle: onboarding, training, placement and recognition.
• Create and deliver engaging virtual training programs for volunteers.
• Manage volunteer databases and maintain accurate records of activities and hours.
• Communicate regularly with volunteers to provide support and feedback.
• Align placements with organizational goals and program needs.
• Organize virtual volunteer appreciation events and recognition initiatives.
• Stay informed about best practices in volunteer management and nonprofit operations.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies related to volunteers.
