Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Virtual Learning Coordinator to oversee and enhance online programs from a fully remote setup in South Africa. The role focuses on LMS administration, digital pedagogy, and supporting students and educators in the online environment.

You will troubleshoot issues, develop digital learning resources, train faculty on LMS tools, monitor engagement, and collaborate with IT and vendors to maintain robust virtual learning infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Information Technology, or related field.
• Master's degree in Educational Technology or Online Learning preferred.
• Proven experience coordinating or managing online learning programs or platforms.
• In-depth knowledge of LMS (Moodle/Blackboard/Canvas) and virtual collaboration tools.
• Strong online pedagogy and instructional design understanding.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Experience developing training materials and workshops.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate LMS administration and other virtual learning platforms.
• Provide technical and pedagogical support to online learners and faculty.
• Facilitate onboarding for new online students and instructors.
• Monitor engagement and progress in online courses; address issues.
• Develop and curate digital learning resources and content.
• Troubleshoot issues with online learning platforms and resolve promptly.
• Deliver training sessions for faculty on LMS usage and online teaching strategies.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards in online education.
• Collaborate with IT and external vendors to maintain online learning infrastructure.
• Contribute to ongoing improvement of the institution's online learning offerings.
