Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Remote Virtual Childcare Coordinator & Educator to design engaging virtual curricula and coordinate live online sessions for children. You will create digital materials, support families at home, and monitor progress in a fully remote Durban-based role, leveraging Zoom and Google Classroom.

The ideal candidate combines early childhood expertise with strong online communication, technical troubleshooting, and organizational skills for a remote work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Psychology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in childcare or education, with at least 2 years in a virtual or online setting.
• Proven experience in curriculum development and online content creation.
• Proficiency with virtual platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.).
• Excellent digital literacy and technical troubleshooting skills.
• Strong understanding of child development principles applicable to virtual learning.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for online interaction.
• Self-motivated and highly organized in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop engaging virtual curriculum and lesson plans for various age groups.
• Coordinate and facilitate live online educational sessions for children.
• Create interactive and age-appropriate digital learning materials and activities.
• Provide remote support and guidance to parents on facilitating their child's learning at home.
