Placements24 is seeking a talented Remote UX/UI Designer to join the digital product team supporting Mossel Bay-based initiatives. You will craft intuitive, engaging interfaces for web and mobile apps, translating user needs into seamless experiences.

You will conduct user research, create wireframes and prototypes, develop design systems, and collaborate with product managers and engineers in a fully remote setting. A strong portfolio and remote collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a UX/UI Designer with a strong portfolio.
Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or InVision.
Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and information architecture.
Experience conducting user research and usability testing methodologies.
Excellent visual design skills with a keen eye for typography, color, and layout.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions effectively in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

Conduct user research, competitive analysis, and usability testing to inform design decisions.
Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for web and mobile applications.
Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and UI component libraries.
Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive and effective user experiences.
Iterate on designs based on user feedback, analytics, and business objectives.
Advocate for user-centered design principles throughout the product development lifecycle.
