Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Cybersecurity Analyst specializing in Threat Intelligence. The role focuses on monitoring, analyzing, and responding to cyber threats from a remote location, with responsibilities spanning SIEM, threat intel, incidents, and proactive threat hunting.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in cybersecurity, strong knowledge of TIPs and OSINT, and experience with Python/PowerShell for automation. Certifications such as CISSP/CEH/GIAC are highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, GIAC) are highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity with focus on threat intelligence, incident response, or SOC.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and events from SIEM, IDS/IPS, and threat intel feeds.
• Analyze threat intelligence data to identify patterns, trends, and IOCs.
• Investigate security incidents, determine scope, impact, and root cause.
• Develop threat hunting methodologies to proactively identify threats.
• Create detailed threat reports and recommend mitigations.
• Maintain and enhance security monitoring tools and technologies.
• Contribute to incident response playbooks and procedures.
• Stay current with threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices.
• Collaborate with internal security teams and external partners on threat intel sharing.
• Participate in security awareness training and promote best practices.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing as required.
