Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Threat Hunter to join its advanced security team on a remote basis. You will proactively identify and neutralize sophisticated threats that evade conventional defenses, using SIEM/EDR data, forensic analysis, and attack intelligence.

The role emphasizes threat hunting campaigns, rule development, and collaboration with incident response and security engineering to strengthen defenses across the network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum of 4 years of cybersecurity experience focusing on threat detection, incident response, or forensics.
• Proven experience in threat hunting using advanced tools and techniques.
• Strong knowledge of OS internals, network protocols, and malware analysis.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for data analysis and automation.
• Experience with EDR, SIEM, and other security monitoring tools is essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute proactive threat hunting methodologies and campaigns across the enterprise network.
• Analyze large datasets from SIEM, EDR, and logs to identify signs of compromise.
• Investigate potential security incidents and provide detailed analysis.
• Develop and implement new detection rules, scripts, and tools to enhance threat detection capabilities.
• Stay up-to-date on adversary TTPs and threat intelligence.
• Collaborate with incident response and security engineering teams to improve defenses.
