Placements24 is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer specializing in Threat Detection. The role focuses on designing and implementing advanced threat detection, responding swiftly to security incidents, and staying ahead of evolving threats in a remote-first setting.

You will join a global security team dedicated to protecting cloud platforms and enterprise networks. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in cybersecurity, strong SIEM/EDR expertise, and deep knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, cloud

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, threat detection and incident response.
• Proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar), EDR solutions, and network security tools.
• Experience analyzing network traffic, logs, and malware behaviors.
• Scripting with Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation.
• Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK and cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Ability to conduct advanced threat hunting and forensics.
• Strong problem solving and remote collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain threat detection systems using SIEM, EDR, and security tools.
• Analyze alerts to identify threats and incidents.
• Develop detection methodologies from threat intel.
• Perform forensic analysis and incident response activities.
• Automate security workflows to improve response times.
