Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Field Service Technician to join a distributed technical support team. You will travel across South Africa for installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of telecommunications equipment from a remote base, acting as the face of the company on-site.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years hands-on field service experience.
• Diploma or equivalent qualification in electrical/telecoms.
• Strong troubleshooting and network knowledge.
• Excellent communication and ability to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installations, configurations and maintenance of telecom equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues with minimal service disruption.
• Conduct site surveys for optimal placement and configuration.
• Provide training and support to end-users and client IT staff.
• Document all service activities in the CRM and follow safety protocols.
