Placements24 is seeking a highly organized Remote Telecom Operations Specialist to oversee day-to-day network operations for a rapidly expanding telecommunications infrastructure company. This fully remote role focuses on monitoring performance, managing incidents, and ensuring SLA compliance from your home office in North West, South Africa.

You will coordinate maintenance, liaise with internal teams and vendors, maintain documentation, and contribute to service improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of telecommunications network operations or similar technical support role.
• Strong understanding of network monitoring tools and practices.
• Experience with incident management and change management processes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network performance and identify issues, outages, or degradation.
• Respond to and manage network incidents, coordinating resolution with relevant teams.
• Ensure adherence to SLAs for network uptime and performance.
• Schedule and coordinate routine network maintenance activities and upgrades.
• Maintain operational documentation including diagrams, procedures, and logs.
• Liaise with internal teams, field technicians, and external vendors to resolve challenges.
• Analyze network data to identify trends and improvements.
• Assist in implementing new network services and configurations.
• Manage trouble tickets and ensure timely resolution of customer-impacting issues.
• Participate in on-call rotation for critical incident response.
