Job summary

Capital H Staffing and Advisory Solutions is recruiting a Systems Engineer (Core Infrastructure) to join a global IT team. This fully remote role is based in South Africa and focuses on stabilising and securing enterprise systems, with second-line support and continuous improvement responsibilities.

You will collaborate with international teams, manage backups and patching, and contribute to automation initiatives while leveraging expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, and cloud

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience in systems administration or enterprise infrastructure support.
• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization and backup solutions.
• Good understanding of Microsoft 365, Entra ID and networking fundamentals.
• Experience with Azure, PowerShell, Linux or Citrix will be advantageous.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and administer Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualisation and core infrastructure services.
• Resolve complex infrastructure incidents and service requests escalated from the Service Desk.
• Manage backups, monitoring, patching and disaster recovery activities.
• Collaborate with global IT teams, vendors and Level 3 specialists to maintain reliable IT services.
• Contribute to infrastructure automation, documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.
