Placements24 is seeking a talented Remote Structural Engineer to join our forward-thinking client base. This fully remote role covers design, analysis, and assessment of structural components for diverse building and infrastructure projects across South Africa.

The successful candidate will work autonomously with virtual teams, ensure compliance with SANS 10400, and deliver high-quality structural solutions using ETABS, SAP2000, or STAAD.Pro. ECSA registration is desirable.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering with a structural focus.
Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in structural engineering design.
Professional registration with ECSA (Pr. Eng. or Pr. Tech. Eng.) is highly desirable.
Proficiency in ETABS, SAP2000, or STAAD.Pro.
Strong knowledge of steel, concrete, and timber behavior under load.
Excellent communication and collaboration for remote work.

Responsibilities

Perform structural analysis and design for commercial, residential, and industrial structures.
Develop detailed drawings, specifications, and calculations with advanced software.
Collaborate with architects, project managers, and construction teams via virtual channels.
Ensure designs comply with SANS 10400 and other relevant structural codes.
Conduct peer reviews to ensure accuracy and safety.
Provide technical support to project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
