Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Engineer for a fully remote role in South Africa. Lead analysis, design, and documentation for diverse building projects from any location.

Engage with clients and teams virtually to deliver compliant, innovative structural solutions. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of post-graduate experience and holds Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng registration with ECSA, with strong expertise in SAP2000, ETABS, Prokon, AutoCAD and Revit.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) or Technologist (Pr Tech Eng) registration with ECSA.
• Minimum 5 years post-graduate experience in structural design of building structures.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, ETABS, Prokon and CAD/BIM tools.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the detailed design, analysis, and specification of structural systems, collaborating with clients and project teams virtually. Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for a range of building projects, including residential, commercial, and light industrial structures.
• Develop detailed structural drawings, calculations, and specifications using industry-standard software.

• Ensure all designs comply with relevant South African National Standards (SANS) and building codes.
