Placements24 is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for a remote role with a premier architectural and engineering firm in South Africa. You will lead structural design for diverse building projects, perform analyses with ETABS, SAP2000, Revit Structure, and ensure compliance with SANS and NBR.

This remote-first position requires PE registration, 9+ years experience, strong communication, and ability to mentor juniors while coordinating with virtual teams nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with Structural specialization.
• Master's degree is an advantage.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is mandatory.
• Minimum 9 years of progressive experience in structural engineering design for buildings.
• Experience managing structural projects from concept to completion.
• Expertise in ETABS, SAP2000, Revit Structure or similar.
• Proficiency in design of concrete, steel, and masonry structures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for remote collaboration.
• Ability to work independently with remote teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design process for residential, commercial and institutional buildings.
• Perform complex structural analyses using advanced software and engineering principles.
• Develop detailed structural drawings, calculations, and specifications.
