Placements24 is seeking a diligent Purchasing Analyst to support strategic procurement functions in a fully remote role across South Africa. You will analyze spending data, perform market research, and evaluate supplier performance to drive cost savings and optimize sourcing strategies.
The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 2–3 years of procurement analysis experience, with strong Excel and Power BI skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
- 2–3 years of experience in procurement analysis, strategic sourcing, or similar roles.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with data analysis proficiency.
- Experience with procurement software or ERP systems is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Analyze spending data to identify cost reduction opportunities and supplier consolidation.
- Conduct market research on commodities, suppliers, and pricing trends.
- Assist in development and implementation of sourcing strategies.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, and cost metrics.
- Support negotiations by providing market intelligence and cost analysis.
- Maintain procurement databases and prepare KPI reports.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity of procurement activities.
