Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a data-driven Strategic Sourcing Analyst to join a fully remote procurement team. You will analyze spend patterns, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support strategic sourcing initiatives across the organization.

Responsibilities include market research, category strategy development, and presenting findings to management. A bachelor's degree and 2–4 years of procurement experience are required, with strong Excel/SQL and BI skills for effective analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in SCM, Finance, Economics or related quantitative field.
• 2–4 years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing with analytical focus.
• Strong Excel/SQL skills; BI experience with Tableau or Power BI preferred.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven mindset.
• Clear written and verbal communication; able to present data to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fully remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze spend data to identify opportunities for cost reduction, supplier consolidation, and process improvements.
• Conduct market research and benchmarking to understand supplier capabilities, pricing trends, and potential risks.
• Support the development and execution of category strategies and sourcing plans.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management on sourcing recommendations and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with procurement managers and business stakeholders to implement sourcing strategies and ensure successful contract negotiations.
• Maintain and update procurement databases and documentation, ensuring data integrity for effective analysis in a remote setting.
