Placements24 seeks a dedicated Remote Solar Energy Analyst to join our fully distributed team in South Africa. You will evaluate the feasibility, financial viability and performance of solar projects, delivering insights that drive investment and strategic planning in the South African renewable energy market.

You will work remotely, leverage advanced modeling tools and data, assess site potential, risks and environmental impact, and prepare comprehensive reports for stakeholders and investors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
• Proven experience in renewable energy analysis, particularly solar PV projects.
• Proficiency with PVsyst and SAM solar modeling software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, comfortable working remotely.

Responsibilities

• Analyze solar resource data to assess site potential for PV installations.
• Perform financial modeling and economic analysis (ROI, LCOE, payback).
• Conduct site assessments using satellite imagery and GIS tools to identify constraints.
• Prepare reports and presentations detailing project feasibility, risks and recommendations.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes and tech advancements in solar energy.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners remotely to ensure project success.
