Job summary

Our client is seeking a dedicated and analytical Solar Energy Analyst to join their expanding, remote-first team. This position focuses on evaluating the technical and economic feasibility of solar energy projects, conducting market research, and providing data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making.

You will play a crucial role in identifying new opportunities and optimizing existing solar assets from anywhere in the world.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in solar energy analysis, project development, or a related role.
Strong proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and using relevant software (e.g., Excel, PVsyst, SAM).
Excellent understanding of solar PV systems, energy markets, and regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

Analyze solar resource data, site characteristics, and energy production potential for new and existing projects.
Perform detailed financial modeling and economic analysis of solar investments, including ROI and LCOE calculations.
Conduct market research on solar technology trends, policy changes, and competitive landscapes.
Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and clients, summarizing findings and recommendations.
Collaborate remotely with engineering, finance, and business development teams to support project pipeline growth.
Develop and maintain databases of project performance data and market intelligence.
