Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Social Impact Strategist for a remote capacity to lead innovative projects and maximize social impact across communities. The role focuses on theories of change, data-driven strategies, and robust M&E frameworks to inform decisions and demonstrate outcomes.

Ideal candidates will have 7+ years in social impact design, strong quantitative and qualitative research skills, and a track record of budgeting and reporting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in a field with impact evaluation focus.
• 7+ years designing and implementing social impact strategies and M&E.
• Expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methods.
• Strong analytical and data visualization skills.
• Excellent report writing and presentation abilities.
• Experience in budgeting for projects.
• Understanding of SDGs and global development challenges.
• Able to work independently in a remote setting.
• Familiarity with KwaZulu-Natal region is a plus.
• Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine social impact framework with theories of change and logic models.
• Design and implement robust M&E systems to track outcomes and impact.
• Conduct baseline, midline, and endline evaluations for programs.
• Analyze impact data and generate reports for stakeholders.
• Identify KPIs and success metrics for initiatives.
• Provide strategic guidance to program teams on impact approaches.
• Research best practices in social impact and international development.
• Facilitate workshops on social impact measurement for staff and partners.
• Contribute to proposals by articulating anticipated social impact.
• Advise on maximizing positive outcomes and mitigating negatives.
