Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Remote Site Manager Lead for large-scale construction projects. The role requires overseeing end-to-end delivery from planning to handover while coordinating distributed teams and stakeholders.

Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years in construction project management, with strong leadership, budgeting, and remote collaboration skills. A PMP is highly desirable and the position offers complete remote work within South Africa.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
• PMP or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in project management within construction, including large-scale projects.
• Proven track record leading distributed teams remotely.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of construction projects from inception to handover, ensuring scope, budget, and timeline adherence.
• Develop and implement comprehensive project plans including resource allocation, risk management and quality control.
• Communicate effectively with remote project teams, clients, consultants and subcontractors via digital platforms.
• Manage project finances including budgeting, forecasting and cost control to ensure profitability.
• Identify and mitigate risks, and develop contingency plans as needed.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and report to senior management.
• Foster a productive remote work environment and motivate teams to achieve goals.
