Placements24 seeks a Senior Construction Manager to lead end-to-end construction projects remotely in South Africa. You will manage diverse building initiatives with a focus on safety, time, cost, and quality, coordinating distributed teams across regions, and leveraging digital tools for seamless collaboration.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in construction management, budgets over R50 million, and expertise in project planning, contract administration, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Professional registration with SACPCMP is highly advantageous.
• 10+ years of extensive experience in construction management on large, complex projects.
• Experience managing budgets above R50 million.
• Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera P6, Procore and digital collaboration tools.
• Knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and SA regulations.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Proven ability to lead distributed teams remotely.
• Strong financial acumen and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, execution, and closing of multiple construction projects concurrently.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources for profitability and timely completion.
• Develop and implement detailed construction plans and strategies.
• Lead and motivate project teams via virtual channels.
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental regulations on all sites.
• Maintain client relationships with regular progress updates.
• Oversee procurement, contract negotiation, and vendor management.
• Implement QA/QC throughout project lifecycle.
• Mitigate risks and resolve issues to minimize disruption.
