Placements24 is seeking a Remote Senior Telecom Network Architect to define the strategic direction and technical roadmap for advanced telecommunications infrastructure. This role demands deep expertise in scalable, resilient networks and cloud-native architectures to shape next-generation services.

You will lead design across core, edge, and access layers, influence vendors, and guide teams toward architectural excellence in a fully remote setup.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, CS, or related field.
• 12+ years of progressive telecom network architecture and design experience.
• Deep knowledge of networking protocols, IP routing, MPLS, SDN/NFV, and cloud-native architectures.
• Proven track record designing and deploying carrier-grade networks.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, able to present complex concepts to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect complex, large-scale telecom networks, including core, edge, and access layers.
• Lead the evaluation and selection of new network technologies, standards, and vendor solutions.
• Develop long-term network strategies, roadmaps, and technical standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and product teams to ensure architectural integrity and alignment with business goals.
• Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to network engineering teams.
• Oversee the implementation of architectural designs, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards.
