Placements24 seeks a Senior Supply Chain Analyst to optimize a large distribution network from a fully remote position within South Africa. You will leverage SQL, Python, R, and BI tools to analyze operations and drive cost-effective improvements across warehousing, transportation, and inventory management.

The role requires 5+ years of analysis experience, a strong quantitative background, and excellent communication to present insights to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or related quantitative field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain sophisticated supply chain models to identify bottlenecks and improvement areas across warehouse operations, transportation, and inventory management.
• Analyze large datasets to track KPIs such as on-time delivery, inventory turnover, warehousing costs, and transportation efficiency.
• Design and implement data-driven strategies to reduce costs, improve service levels, and overall supply chain performance.
• Collaborate with operations, procurement, and IT to gather data, understand challenges, and develop integrated solutions.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management with findings and recommended changes.
• Utilize advanced statistical methods and forecasting to predict demand and optimize inventory levels across the network.
• Stay updated on industry trends to inform strategic decisions.
