Placements24 is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Cloud and DevOps to join a fully remote team. You will design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines across AWS, Azure, or GCP, and drive best practices in automation and security.

The role requires 6+ years in software engineering with cloud/DevOps focus, strong IaC and CI/CD experience, and proficiency with Kubernetes and Docker.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
• Develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, building, and deployment of applications.
• Implement and manage containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of cloud environments.
• Automate operational tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement performance enhancements.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to optimize application deployment and performance in the cloud.
• Contribute to architectural decisions related to cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices.
• Stay current with emerging cloud and DevOps technologies and recommend adoption where appropriate.
• Participate in on-call rotation for incident response and management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in software engineering with a strong focus on cloud and DevOps.
• Proven expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• In-depth knowledge of IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Strong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• Proficiency in container orchestration (Kubernetes) and containerization (Docker).
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
• Excellent understanding of networking, security, and monitoring principles in cloud environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously in a remote setting.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective remote teamwork.
