Placements24 is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer for a fully remote role. You will design, implement, and manage security across AWS, Azure, and GCP, driving security into the cloud development lifecycle and automating defenses with Terraform and CloudFormation.

You will collaborate with engineering and operations to mitigate threats, ensure regulatory compliance, and continuously improve security posture in a distributed, remote-first team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of information security with a focus on cloud security engineering.
• Experience securing AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Hands-on with IaC tools: Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates.
• Scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Automate security processes using IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities in cloud deployments.

Requirements

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Strong understanding of container security (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, comfortable working in a remote team environment.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, or CISSP are highly desirable.
