Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior Social Worker to join its Family Services team in a fully remote role serving the Bloemfontein region and surrounding areas. You will manage a complex caseload, delivering advanced therapeutic interventions and advocating for families in need.

The ideal candidate holds an MSW with SACSSP registration and at least 5 years of post-qualification clinical experience in family services or child welfare, with strong CBT and family systems therapy skills.

Qualifications

• MSW from an accredited institution with SACSSP registration.
• Minimum 5 years post-qualifying clinical social work experience.
• Specialization in family services or child welfare.
• Proficiency in CBT and family systems therapy.
• Strong assessment, diagnostic, and intervention skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting.
• Experience with virtual platforms and case management software.
• Knowledge of South Africa social welfare policies and laws.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments of individuals and families.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate evidence-based intervention plans for family dynamics and child welfare.
• Provide direct therapeutic services including counseling and mediation.
• Connect clients with community resources and services.
• Manage a demanding caseload with timely service delivery.
• Prepare detailed case reports and service plans in line with standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including educators and healthcare professionals.
• Provide supervision and mentorship to junior social workers or interns.
