Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Senior Social Worker to lead Family Services initiatives. This fully remote role focuses on expert guidance, case management, and support for families facing complex challenges via virtual platforms.

You will mentor junior staff, develop service strategies, and ensure high-quality care delivery while advocating for vulnerable populations, all from a remote setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive experience in social work, with a focus on family services.
• Registered with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP).
• Proven ability to work independently and manage complex cases remotely.
• Excellent virtual communication, active listening, and negotiation skills.
• Experience in supervision and program development is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced assessments and develop complex intervention plans for families.
• Provide intensive case management, counseling, and therapeutic support remotely.
• Supervise and mentor junior social workers and case managers in their client interactions.
• Develop and implement new service protocols and best practices for family support.
