Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Smart Contract Engineer to join a remote-first blockchain development studio. You will design, develop, test, and deploy secure on-chain logic across Ethereum-compatible platforms, collaborating with product and engineering teams to translate complex requirements into reliable contracts.

You will mentor junior engineers, review code, and stay abreast of security best practices, cryptographic techniques, and DeFi standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of software development, 3+ years in smart contracts.
• Expertise in Solidity and EVM is essential.
• Strong knowledge of token standards (ERC-20, ERC-721) and DeFi basics.
• Experience with testing frameworks and security audits.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy secure smart contracts on Ethereum-compatible platforms.
• Write well-tested and maintainable code in Solidity, Vyper, or Rust.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams on requirements and architecture.
• Conduct code reviews and security audits to identify vulnerabilities.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive test suites for contracts.
• Research cryptographic techniques and blockchain patterns.
• Contribute to blockchain infrastructure and tooling.
• Stay updated on security best practices in blockchain.
• Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge.
