Placements24 seeks a Senior Research Scientist to join a remote-first team at a leading neuroscience research institution focused on neurodegenerative diseases. The role involves designing and executing advanced experiments to understand disease mechanisms.

You will collaborate with computational biologists, geneticists, and clinicians to develop models, analyze genomic and imaging data, and publish findings.

Qualifications

• PhD in Neuroscience, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years post-doctoral or equivalent research experience in neurodegenerative diseases.
• Strong understanding of molecular and cellular mechanisms in neurodegeneration.
• Proficiency in cell culture, western blotting, immunohistochemistry and cloning.
• Computational analysis of biological data is highly desirable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for remote collaboration.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage time in a distributed team.
• Demonstrated scientific productivity with publications.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute experiments to study neurodegenerative disease pathophysiology.
• Develop and validate in vitro and in vivo disease models.
• Analyze complex genomic, proteomic, and imaging data.
