Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Robotics Engineer for a fully remote role. You will lead design, development, simulation, and deployment of advanced robotic systems across multiple applications, collaborating with a global team of engineers and researchers.

You will apply robotics principles, control theory, and AI/ML integration, leveraging ROS, simulation tools, and major robot platforms to deliver reliable, scalable solutions from home office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Robotics, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or CS.
• 6+ years in robotics engineering with industrial automation focus.
• Proven robot programming experience on major platforms.
• Strong knowledge of control theory, motion planning, and AI/ML in robotics.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robotic systems across mechanical, electrical and software domains.
• Program and optimize industrial robots (FANUC, KUKA, ABB) for complex tasks.
• Develop control algorithms and motion planning strategies.
• Use ROS, CoppeliaSim, RoboDK to simulate and validate deployments.
• Incorporate AI/ML for perception, decision-making and learning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and document results.
• Troubleshoot remote deployments and provide on-site support when needed.
• Create user manuals and training materials; stay updated on robotics advances.
