Qualifications

• Masters or PhD in Public Policy, Environmental Science, Economics, Law, or a related field with energy policy focus.
• At least 4 years in energy policy analysis, research, or consulting in renewable energy.
• Strong knowledge of national and international energy policy frameworks and market mechanisms.
• Excellent research, analytical, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple remote projects.
• Knowledge of South Africa's energy landscape is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of renewable energy policies, incentives, and regulations.
• Monitor and assess the impact of policy changes on the renewable energy market and client projects.
• Develop policy recommendations and strategic advice for clients based on thorough research and analysis.
• Prepare detailed reports, policy briefs, and presentations for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Engage with government agencies, industry associations, and other stakeholders to gather information and provide input on policy development.
• Analyze market trends, economic factors, and technological advancements influencing the renewable energy sector.
• Support business development efforts by identifying new policy-related opportunities and challenges.
• Contribute to the firm's thought leadership on renewable energy policy and regulation.
• Track international best practices and emerging policy innovations in the renewable energy space.
