Placements24 is seeking a Senior Quantitative Analyst for a remote-friendly role with a leading quantitative trading firm. You will design and implement sophisticated models, work across global markets, and drive trading strategies with alpha opportunities.

The ideal candidate holds a PhD or MSc in a quantitative field, 5–7 years of relevant experience, and expert programming skills in Python, C++, and R. You will collaborate with traders and mentors while advancing rigorous risk management.

Qualifications

• PhD or MS in a highly quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or Financial Engineering.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in quantitative research or trading roles within the financial industry.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful quantitative trading strategies.
• Expert proficiency in programming languages commonly used in quantitative finance (e.g., Python, C++, R).
• Strong knowledge of statistical modeling, time series analysis, econometrics, and machine-learning techniques.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement quantitative trading models and strategies across global markets.
• Conduct rigorous backtesting and statistical analysis of trading strategies to assess performance and risk.
• Develop algorithms for optimal execution, portfolio construction, and risk management.
• Research and explore new data sources and modeling techniques to identify potential alpha.
• Collaborate closely with traders and portfolio managers to understand market dynamics and refine strategy implementation.
• Build and maintain robust analytical tools and infrastructure for model deployment and monitoring.
• Analyze market microstructure and execution patterns to improve trading efficiency.
• Stay abreast of the latest academic research and industry trends in quantitative finance.
• Contribute to the firm's intellectual capital and mentor junior quantitative analysts.
• Ensure all models are well-documented, validated, and adhere to best practices.
