Placements24 is seeking a Senior Quantitative Analyst to join a fully remote team in South Africa. You will design and backtest trading strategies, build execution algorithms, and develop risk models for multiple asset classes.

The role requires a PhD or Master’s in a quantitative field, 5+ years in quantitative finance, strong programming (Python/C++/R), and advanced ML techniques. Collaborate with traders and researchers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s in a quantitative field is required.
• Minimum 5 years in quantitative analysis, algo trading, or related finance roles.
• Expertise in statistical modeling, time series analysis, and ML algorithms.
• Proficiency in Python/C++/R and libraries; strong finance knowledge.

Responsibilities
