Placements24 is seeking a remote Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our globally distributed team. Design and execute test strategies, develop automated scripts, and ensure high-quality software across web and mobile platforms.

You will mentor junior QA engineers, collaborate with developers and product managers, and contribute to QA process improvements while staying current with the latest testing practices in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years in software quality assurance and testing.
• Experience designing and implementing test automation frameworks.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Hands-on with Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Strong knowledge of Jira and Confluence.
• Experience with API testing and performance testing tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test plans for web and mobile apps.
• Create and maintain automated test scripts.
• Perform functional, regression, performance, security, and usability testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers.
• Review test automation scripts.
• Contribute to QA process improvements.
• Mentor junior QA engineers.
• Stay up-to-date with QA trends.
• Document testing activities and communicate results.
