Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specialized in Quality Assurance Automation. This fully remote role welcomes candidates from Nelspruit and nearby areas to design, build, and maintain automated test suites that ensure high-quality software in the agricultural tech domain.

You will integrate tests into the CI/CD pipeline, mentor junior QA engineers, and collaborate with developers to translate requirements into robust automation strategies.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software testing with a strong automation focus.
• Experience with Selenium WebDriver or Cypress.
• Proficient in Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work remotely with teams including Nelspruit operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks and scripts.
• Identify test scenarios and automation strategies for components.
• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Execute automated tests, analyze results, and report defects clearly.
• Collaborate with developers and QA to understand requirements.
• Identify opportunities for automation and improve testing processes.
• Perform regression, functional, and performance testing as needed.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and promote best practices.
• Contribute to QA strategy and roadmap.
• Troubleshoot and debug automation scripts and environments.
