Placements24 is seeking a Remote Senior Process Engineer with 8+ years in chemical process design and optimization. You will design, model, and optimize processes from a home office, collaborating with a dispersed team of engineers, chemists, and researchers on innovative projects.

You will develop process control strategies, perform feasibility studies, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while advancing operational excellence in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in chemical process design, optimization, and scale-up.
• Proven expertise in process simulation software such as Aspen Plus or HYSYS.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and mass transfer.
• Experience with project management methodologies and tools.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and optimize chemical processes and equipment for production lines.
• Conduct feasibility studies and economic analyses for new processes and modifications.
• Troubleshoot complex operational issues to improve yield, quality, and safety.
• Develop and implement process control strategies and automation solutions.
• Prepare PFDs and P&IDs and related technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with R&D, operations, and maintenance to meet project goals.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in chemical process design, optimization, and scale-up.
• Proven expertise in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS).

• Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
