Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Operations Consultant to join a globally distributed, remote-first consultancy. You will analyze complex operations, lead process-improvement initiatives, and mentor junior consultants across industries.

You will drive Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven performance improvements, manage multiple client engagements remotely, and deliver tangible cost savings while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and executive-level communication.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in operations consulting, supply chain management, or a related operational improvement role.
• Proven track record of leading and implementing significant operational improvements for clients.
• Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, process re-engineering, and supply chain optimization.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence decision-making.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience managing remote teams effectively.
• Proficiency with operations management software and data analysis tools.
• Ability to adapt to diverse client environments and work effectively in a virtual setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed assessments of client operations, supply chains, and manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement data-driven strategies for process optimization, cost reduction, and performance enhancement using Lean and Six Sigma.
• Lead client project teams, ensuring the successful execution of operational improvement initiatives from planning to completion.
• Manage stakeholder relationships at all levels, facilitating buy-in and driving change adoption.
• Design and implement performance management systems to track operational KPIs and ensure sustainable results.
• Advise clients on best practices in supply chain management, logistics, inventory control, and production planning.
• Develop compelling business cases and presentations to articulate recommendations and project outcomes to executive leadership.
• Mentor and coach junior operations consultants, fostering their skill development and contribution to project success.
