Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join a fully remote team focused on designing, deploying, and scaling ML systems in the cloud. You will build robust ML pipelines, train models, and drive production readiness with modern MLOps practices.

The role requires deep Python expertise and hands-on experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn, plus cloud services from AWS/Azure/GCP. Strong collaboration and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of experience in machine learning engineering or a similar role.
• Proven experience building and deploying ML models in production environments on cloud platforms.
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience with ML libraries (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including their ML services (SageMaker, Azure ML, Vertex AI).
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with MLOps tools and practices (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable machine learning systems and pipelines.
• Develop, train, and deploy ML models, ensuring they meet performance and reliability standards.
• Optimize ML models for efficiency, scalability, and performance in cloud environments.
• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver end-to-end ML solutions.
• Implement MLOps best practices for CI/CD, monitoring of ML models.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ML model performance and infrastructure.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in ML, cloud computing, and MLOps.
• Contribute to the architectural design of new ML features and platforms.
• Ensure the security and compliance of ML systems.
