Placements24 seeks a Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer to drive the design, integration and optimization of complex mechanical systems for Richards Bay operations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in the design and analysis of complex mechanical systems.
• Expertise in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and structural analysis.
• Proficiency with simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL) and CAD software.
• Strong understanding of system integration principles and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test complex mechanical systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
• Conduct detailed system-level analysis, including performance modeling and FMEA.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers and software developers, for seamless system integration.
• Develop technical specifications, performance requirements, and test plans for new mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to mechanical system performance and integration.
