Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Logistics Coordinator for a national retail chain. This fully remote role oversees end-to-end logistics across inbound and outbound activities, ensuring timely, cost-effective delivery to stores and distribution centers nationwide.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in logistics in retail, strong knowledge of transportation, warehousing, and inventory control, and proven ability to optimize supply chains using ERP systems and logistics software.

Qualifications

Minimum 7 years in logistics or supply chain within retail.
Proven track record of optimizing logistics operations.
Experience with logistics software and ERP systems.
Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
Knowledge of international shipping advantageous.

Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of the retail supply chain, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
Develop and implement efficient logistics strategies to optimize delivery times and reduce costs.
Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, carriers, and distribution centers to ensure smooth flow of goods.
Monitor and track shipments, proactively addressing delays or disruptions.
Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and ensure SLAs are met.
Analyze logistics data and metrics to identify improvements and implement corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with regulations including customs, import/export, and safety.
Develop and maintain logistics documentation and reporting.
Collaborate with procurement, sales, and operations to forecast demand and plan.
Implement and utilize logistics software and technology to enhance efficiency.
