Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Legal Advisor to join its expanding legal department. This fully remote role allows you to work from anywhere in South Africa while providing comprehensive legal counsel on corporate governance, contracts, and regulatory compliance.

You will draft and negotiate complex agreements, manage risk, oversee corporate governance, support M&A activities, and coordinate external counsel as needed.

Qualifications

• Admitted as an Attorney or Advocate of the High Court of South Africa.
• Minimum of 7 years post-qualification experience.
• In-depth knowledge of South African corporate law, contract law, and commercial transactions.
• Demonstrated experience in managing complex legal projects and providing strategic advice.
• Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly.
• Proven ability to work autonomously, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
• High degree of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement legal policies, procedures, and training programs.
• Stay abreast of changes in legislation and regulatory frameworks impacting the business.
