Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly capable Legal Advisor to join its legal department with flexible remote working. The role focuses on corporate and commercial matters and ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will advise on company law, governance, draft and negotiate service, supply, and partnership agreements, and support mergers and other transactions. The ideal candidate has 6+ years of post-admission experience and strong analytical and communication skills for a remote role.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized university.
• Admission as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
• A minimum of 6 years of post-admission experience in corporate and commercial law.
• Strong understanding of South African company law and governance.
• Proven experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines remotely.
• Proficiency in legal research and standard office software.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on corporate governance, company secretarial duties, and statutory compliance.
