The role requires a Master's in Geology, 8+ years in geological exploration, and proficiency in 3D modelling tools. Remote work is supported with occasional site visits if needed.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in 3D modelling software (Leapfrog, Vulcan, ArcGIS).
• Strong data analysis and interpretation abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive geological surveys to identify mineral deposits.
• Develop exploration programs including drilling and sampling strategies.
• Interpret geological data from core logs, geophysics and geochemistry.
• Prepare geological reports, maps, and cross-sections for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with mining engineers to optimize resource extraction and mine planning.

Requirements

• A Master's degree or higher in Geology or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in geological exploration and mining.
• Proven expertise in 3D geological modelling software (e.g., Leapfrog, Vulcan, ArcGIS).
• Strong understanding of mineral systems and deposit types relevant to South Africa.
• Excellent data analysis, interpretation, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
• Proficiency in geological software and database management.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits as required.
• Registration with a relevant professional body (e.g., SACNASP) is advantageous.
