Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in mineral exploration geology.
• Strong knowledge of ore deposit types and South Africa's mineral wealth.
• Proficiency in geological modeling software and GIS tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present complex data clearly.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive geological assessments and data interpretation for potential mining sites.
• Develop and manage exploration programs, including drilling campaigns and geophysical surveys.
• Analyze core samples, rock chips, and other geological materials to identify mineralisation.
• Prepare detailed geological reports, maps, and cross-sections for internal and external stakeholders.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively in a remote setting.
• Membership in a recognized professional geological body is highly desirable.
• Experience with data management and database querying.
